Officials with the University of Iowa will travel to Iowa Western Community College (IWCC) in Council Bluffs and Western Iowa Tech Community College (WITCC) in Sioux City Jan. 13, to officially launch two new UI Partners offices, which support small business and entrepreneur development.

At 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, a brief dedication with refreshments will be held in IWCC’s The Port, 2700 College Road, Ashley Hall 121, Council Bluffs. David Conrad, assistant vice president for economic development in the UI Office of Research and Economic Development, and IWCC President Dan Kinney will give remarks and introduce the UI Senior IT Support Consultant who will staff the office.

At 3 p.m., a dedication with refreshments will be held in WITCC’s Security Institute building, 4647 Stone Ave., Sioux City. Conrad, WITCC President Terry Murrell, and WITCC Board Chairman Robert Rasmus will give remarks and introduce the UI Senior IT Support Consultant who will staff the office.

UI Vice President for Research and Economic Development Dan Reed, who is unable to attend the events, will give remarks at each via pre-recorded video.

UI Partners, part of the UI Office of Research and Economic Development, is forging partnerships across the state to provide on-site IT and other support for Iowa small businesses. More at the UI Partners website.
