The University of Iowa College of Nursing has reached a major milestone inFor Iowa. Forever More: The Campaign for the University of Iowa.

The college has raised more than $20 million in private support toward its $25 million goal as part of For Iowa. Forever More., with gifts made through the UI Foundation. The support from more than 2,700 nursing alumni and friends contributes to the university’s $1.7 billion comprehensive campaign, which began in 2008 and concludes in 2016.

Campaign gifts to the college support students, faculty, staff, programs, and facilities—all of which help the college sustain its work to prepare nurse leaders and to be forerunners in the discovery, dissemination, and application of nursing knowledge. The college’s campaign goals focus on ensuring student success; advancing faculty teaching and research; supporting academic centers and programs; and securing unrestricted funds that can be directed to areas of greatest need.

“We are deeply grateful for the outstanding support we have received from friends and alumni of the College of Nursing,” says UI College of Nursing Dean Rita Frantz. “Through their exceptional generosity, the college will continue to be a leader in educating the next generation of nurses for practice, research and education.”
