The University of Iowa Council on the Status of Women, Rape Victim Advocacy Program (RVAP), and the UI Women's Resource and Action Center (WRAC) will be hosting a screening and discussion of the film, "It Was Rape" by Jennifer Baumgardner.

It was rape poster to promote educational film.

In the film, eight women tell diverse stories of sexual assault, allowing the audience to empathize with the real people behind the sexual assault statistics, break the silence, and shed light on how this epidemic affects us all.

Showings will be offered at the following times and locations and are free and open to the public:

  • Thursday, Sept. 18, 7 p.m., Iowa Memorial Union-Nebraska Room 335
  • Sunday, Sept. 21, 3 p.m., Iowa City Public Library, Meeting Room A
