UI President Sally Mason addressed members of the Fraternal Order of Eagles at the opening of the UI Fraternal Order of Eagles Diabetes Research Center during a weekend of opening activities.

The Eagles, an international service organization, raised $25 million through its 800,000 members across North America to support the diabetes research center, which is dedicated to finding new treatments and cures for the diabetes epidemic.

Mason, Fraternal Order of Eagles leadership, celebrity Eagles singer Tony Orlando and comedian Tom Parks, as well as hundreds of others were on hand to participate in the events.
