The University of Iowa will introduce a new promotional spot tomorrow (Saturday, Aug. 30), during the Hawkeye football broadcast, which will be carried nationally on the Big Ten Network (BTN).

The new spot expands on this summer’s “for IOWA” advertising campaign with messages geared to both Iowans and national audiences.

Called “You Can Find It at Iowa,” the 30-second spot was produced by university staff. It focuses on the university’s highly-ranked programs, solid job placement rates, and emphasis on student success.

“We have a great story to tell,” says UI President Sally Mason. “Our nationally-televised games provide the opportunity to share that story with millions of viewers across the country.”

BTN reaches more than 52 million homes in the U.S. and Canada. As a member of the Big Ten conference, the University of Iowa can show institutional promos at no cost.

The spot will be aired in Hawkeye sports games this academic year. It also will appear on YouTube.

The Hawkeyes take on the University of Northern Iowa Panthers at 11 a.m. at Kinnick Stadium. Other upcoming Hawkeye football broadcasts include the Sept. 6 Ball State game (ESPN2) and the Sept. 13 Iowa State game (ABC, ESPN, or ESPN2).
