Following is an update on Rising to the Next TIER, the transformation and efficiency study of Iowa’s public universities commissioned by the Iowa Board of Regents.

Check the University of Iowa’s TIER website for updates.

This week the Deloitte team has returned to Iowa State University for additional meetings with campus stakeholders including members of the ISU Sounding Board.

The topics of discussion with the Sounding Board include: recapping the Phase 1 report to discuss questions and comments, obtaining feedback on how to best communicate with the university community going forward, and discussing the project timeline.

Similar to its successful meetings at UNI last week, the focus of Deloitte’s work at ISU is to gather additional input from campus representatives to develop business cases for the administrative areas. The team is also analyzing the information collected at UNI and is beginning to draft business cases related to these areas. Deloitte plans to undertake similar work at the University of Iowa the week of July 28.

The board and the Deloitte team thank all stakeholders who are providing additional input for the TIER review during the follow-up visits to the campuses. In addition, they also encourage continued public input on the TIER study at the following web sites:
