Follow Mainstage actress Molly Brown through her routine during premiere week
Thursday, March 13, 2014

Learning lines, changing costumes, hitting the mark, taking a bow. The life of a Mainstage performer can be hectic, certainly during a production's premiere week. That's all on top of the scholarly and social aspects of being a college student. University of Iowa sophomore Molly Brown, performing in Absurd Person Singular, allowed Iowa Now a peek at her routine.

Absurd Person Singular is a hysterical farce that follows three couples in three kitchens on three successive Christmas Eves. Brown, a graduate of Washington High School in Cedar Rapids, plays Jane Hopcroft, a woman quite obsessed with keeping her kitchen clean. We'd tell you more, but perhaps you'd rather see Brown in action yourself! The play runs through Saturday, March 15; information about tickets can be found in an earlier Iowa Now article.

For now, take a look at the images below, where in addition to seeing "Jane Hopcroft," you'll see Brown's preparation for the stage, her coursework in dance, and the precious downtime spent with friends.
