Event celebrates Stephen A. Wynn's commitment to curing blinding eye diseases

WHAT: Celebration to commemorate the naming of the UI Stephen A. Wynn Institute for Vision Research and the Steven W. Dezii Translational Vision Research Facility

This Friday, Oct. 18, University of Iowa President Sally Mason will commemorate the naming of the University of Iowa Stephen A. Wynn Institute for Vision Research on the UI campus.

The institute is named in honor of Wynn’s $25 million gift commitment, which has significantly accelerated the organization’s mission to prevent and cure blinding eye diseases that affect millions of people worldwide.

Faculty, staff, students, media, and the public are welcome to attend the event. A reception will follow in the atrium outside the Sahai Auditorium.
