Women ages 18 to 40 who are in the first trimester of pregnancy may be eligible to participate in a clinical research study to examine changes in the feet during pregnancy.

Participation in the study involves two visits to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics and a monthly follow-up survey using over-the-phone or web forms. The first visit will occur between weeks two and 13 of the pregnancy and the follow-up visit will occur approximately eight weeks after delivery. Each visit will last approximately 60 minutes.

During the visits, participants will complete a health questionnaire and have the height of their foot arch measured. The researchers also will analyze the way participants walk.

Compensation will be provided.
