The University of Iowa Mock Trial (UIMT) team competed at the National Championship Tournament in Washington, D.C., April 12-14.

UIMT faced teams from Cornell University, Villanova University, Bellarmine University, and Wheaton College, picking up four-and-a-half ballots along the way. Though it was not enough to place as a team at this tournament, Iowa brought home two All-American awards for the performance of UIMT President Edward Rodriguez. Rodriguez received All-American honors as both a plaintiff and defense attorney.

UIMT was coached this year by head coach Patrick Ralph, Miranda Ralph, Melissa Osman, and Katie Lawson.
