One lane of southbound Madison Street and the sidewalk along the east side of the University of Iowa Main Library will be closed April 22 to Aug. 2 to facilitate the installation of the new east entrance. The project is part of the Library Learning Commons—Renovate First Floor project.

The bus stop on the east side of the Main Library will be relocated one-half block south. The eastern southbound lane and both northbound lanes of Madison Street will remain open throughout construction.
