WHAT: Annual Hawkeye Caucus Day featuring University of Iowa people and programs making an impact across the state

WHERE: Iowa State Capitol, first-floor rotunda; east 9th St. and Grand Ave., Des Moines

WHEN: Tuesday, April 2, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

WHO: University of Iowa students and alumni; university leaders; representatives from more than 30 UI colleges, departments, and programs

WHY: Hawkeye Caucus Day is a unique, once-a-year chance to meet University of Iowa students, leaders, faculty, alumni, and others as they connect with legislators and showcase the university’s commitment to statewide service.

Hang out with Herky, the UI mascot. Meet UI students as they engage with their hometown legislators. Learn how the Iowa Flood Center is making communities safer. Discover iExploreSTEM programs recognized by the governor’s STEM Advisory Council.

UI representatives will be available for interviews throughout the day.
