More than 1,500 wrestling fans jammed the Dan Gable Wrestling Complex over three sessions Thursday, Friday, and Saturday to watch this year's wrestle-offs.

Basically an intrasquad scrimmage to determine the top Hawk in each weight class, the event is a fun opportunity to get an up-close look at this season's team.

All five of Iowa's returning All-Americans who took part in the competition won their weight class.

The Hawkeyes open their season this Friday on the road. Their first home competition is the Iowa City Duals on Saturday, Nov. 24, when they host Cornell College, Iowa Central CC, and Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville.
