The Gallery series of the University of Iowa Department of Theatre Arts will present Mémoire, a student production written by Micah Ariel James and directed by Rachel Korach Howell, at 8 p.m. Thursday–Saturday, Nov. 29–Dec. 1, and at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2, in Theatre B of the UI Theatre Building.

After a brutal storm all but destroys his childhood home, a man returns from the city to help his sister restore the place, and to find…something. What, exactly, they can’t be sure. Meanwhile, a woman moves into a beach house with a widow and her infant daughter. Through the memories they share, the characters come to realize and accept their place in the worlds of both the past and the present.

Admission is free for UI students with a valid UI ID and $5 for general audiences.

The Department of Theatre Arts is a unit of the Division of Performing Arts in the UI College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. For accommodations at the event, contact the department at 319-335-2700. For a UI arts calendar and details about upcoming events, visit the new Arts Iowa website.
