American Idol hopefuls started lining up as early as midnight for their big shot at singing stardom during a small town bus tour at Hubbard Park Tuesday, Aug. 14, on the University of Iowa campus.

American Idol came to the University of Iowa campus as part of its small town bus tour. Fans and hopefuls alike lined the street waiting for their shot at stardom. See if any UI students made the final cut when the season starts in January 2013.
