Robillard reads June 23

Local author Martin Robillard will read from Damaged From The Inside Out: Life After a Traumatic Brain Injury at 4 p.m. Saturday, June 23, in Prairie Lights Books and through a live stream on the Writing University website of the University of Iowa.

Robillard’s life changed in less than a second when he struck a telephone pole returning from his girlfriend’s home on a dark and rainy evening. Damaged from the Inside Out is his record of his life after this injury.

Since his injury in 1989, Robillard has been involved with individuals with disabilities and their families, including working as a paraprofessional educator with students with autism, Downs Syndrome, ADHD, and head injuries.
