Mount Mercy University in Cedar Rapids will host the second annual Cedar Rapids Dance Marathon from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, April 14, in the Hennessey Recreation Center at Mount Mercy University.

More than 150 college students from Mount Mercy, Coe College and Kirkwood Community College will gather for the 12-hour dance marathon with no sitting, no caffeine, and no sleep.

Cedar Rapids Dance Marathon (CRDM) is a student-run philanthropic organization that provides year-round support to pediatric patients with serious illnesses who are treated at University of Iowa Children's Hospital and their families through Children's Miracle Network. The only multi-campus Dance Marathon in the country, CDRM raised more than $25,500 its first year.
