UI announces new Campus Inclusion Team

Specially trained team to address concerns of bias
The University of Iowa is launching a new Campus Inclusion Team to help students deal with bias concerns on campus.
Luvvie Ajayi, author, speaker, and digital strategist, will present a lecture at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 18 in the Old Capitol Senate Chamber as part of Theme Semester programming and Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration of Human Rights Week.

Honors Michael Welsh receives 2017 Steven C. Beering Award

Welsh is director of the UI’s Pappajohn Biomedical Institute. His primary areas of research are cystic fibrosis pathogenesis and therapies, and the influence of brain pH on memory.
