The Gazette UI graduate's art reflects life's journey

Tony Ramos, who graduated this year from the University of Iowa with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in graphic design, creates his art not with a pencil or paintbrush, but with a sensor, his chin, and a laptop: Ramos is a quadriplegic.

The Figge Art Museum in Davenport will present an exhibit of current works by University of Iowa Studio Art faculty, considered one of the best studio arts public offerings in the country, according to museum spokeswoman Natalie Dunlop.
