“Making” is the act of bringing something from our minds into reality; a task that can drive us, calm us, or give us pleasure. This exhibition by the staff of SAAHD is about our creative pursuits, giving the community the opportunity to learn more about us.

This presentation of creative work by School of Art, Art History, and Design staff will be on display Nov. 10–15 in the Levitt Gallery, 140 Art Building West. Join us for a closing reception on Nov. 14 from 4 to 5:30 p.m.

Anthony Swofford is the author of the memoirs Jarhead and Hotels, Hospitals, and Jails and the novel Exit A. The 2005 Sam Mendes film Jarhead was adapted from his first book, detailing his service in the United States Marine Corps and his combat deployment for the 1990-91 Gulf War.
