In the coming weeks, the University of Iowa will announce additional details, including a timeline, for a general campuswide call for initiatives to support the strategic plan to be funded by its utility public-private partnership. This process and the subsequent allocation of funding will elevate the university’s commitment to student success; research and discovery; diversity, equity, and inclusion; and engagement.

Anyone in the campus community will be able to submit a proposal for a one- to five-year grant as part of the transparent and inclusive process. Proposals that could benefit from one-time or short-term support also will be considered.

Proposals that leverage additional funding sources or grow new sustainable efforts in support of the strategic plan will be prioritized. In addition, sustainability of proposed activities beyond the proposed P3 funding support and proposal timeframe will be essential for these initiatives.

With a transparent, inclusive, and campuswide process the university will reflect the values of the campus of collaboration, excellence, diversity, and community.
