A university search committee has announced the first finalist for the next director of the University of Iowa Stanley Museum of Art.

Catherine M. Hale, director and curator of Creative Campus Galleries at Sheridan College in Mississauga, Ontario, and former curator of African and non-western art for the UI Stanley Museum of Art, will visit campus Monday and Tuesday, April 16 and 17.

An open forum will take place from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Monday, April 16, in room 101 of the Becker Communication Studies Building.

The name of each candidate invited to campus will be announced one day prior to his or her visit. The campus community is encouraged to provide feedback to the search committee through the committee’s website.
