The University of Iowa Veterans Association and Iowa Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) honored Iowa’s veterans during the week of Nov. 5–11 with a reveille ceremony and the fourth annual Veterans Day flag display on the west lawn of the Pentacrest.

Some 5,500 tiny U.S. flags—each one honoring a veteran connected to the university or community in some way—were planted in the shape of the letter “I” on Nov. 5.

Fans attending the Nov. 10 University of Iowa men's and women's basketball games at Carver-Hawkeye Arena will see a rappelling demonstration by members of the university's ROTC.
