Museum partners with FilmScene for April 4 event

Come join “Mission Pollock” at the next University of Iowa Museum of Art (UIMA) First Friday on Friday, April 4, from 5 to 7 p.m. at FilmScene, on the downtown Iowa City Pedestrian Mall at 118 E. College St. First Friday is free and open to the public. Popcorn will be free, and there will also be a cash bar.

Partnering with FilmScene, the event features a showing of the documentary Who the *$&% is Jackson Pollock, beginning at 6:30 p.m. Admission to the film is free, but seating is limited and will be available on a first come, first served basis. The April First Friday also coincides with the Mission Creek Festival in downtown Iowa City.

UIMA First Fridays provide an ideal chance to usher in your weekend and mingle with other art-enthusiasts for a great cause. Consider becoming a UIMA member.
