Susan Branch, author of 12 best-selling Heart of the Home books, will sign copies of her new book, A Fine Romance: Falling in Love With the English Countryside, at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, at Prairie Lights Books in downtown Iowa City.

Branch has charmed people with her books on recipes, homemaking, and the joys of friends and family for years. When she announced to her fans that she would travel across the United States on a tour for her new book, Prairie Lights was deluged with requests from all over Iowa to host an event for her.

A Fine Romance offers a hand-painted love story about her voyage on the Queen Mary II and two months in England, touring the countryside and sharing stories, recipes, and travel tips.
