The University of Iowa’s Hancher is co-presenting a concert by Mucca Pazza during the Mission Creek Festival. The unique band will perform at 8 p.m. on Saturday, April 6, at The Englert Theatre.

Half marching band and half rock band, Mucca Pazza is a 30-piece ensemble that largely ignores traditional performance protocol. Wearing homemade headgear amps and marching in formation, the band is ready to dance, burst out in stories, and cause general mayhem.

The event is family-friendly, and children 12 and under may attend for free with ticketholders. Tickets are available from the Englert Box Office and via Midwestix.

This is the second year Hancher has co-presented a Mission Creek Festival performance. In 2012, Hancher supported a performance by saxophonist Seun Kuti.

Individuals with disabilities are encouraged to attend all UI-sponsored events. If you are a person with a disability who requires a reasonable accommodation in order to participate in this program, contact The Englert Theatre in advance at 319-688-2653.
