Iowa Now subscribers now have greater say over what stories are delivered to their email in-boxes, and when and how they receive them.

By visiting email.now.uiowa.edu, subscribers can choose to receive all stories or stories on a range of topics (from athletics and arts to health to research) and colleges. Additionally, subscribers can choose to receive emails in a number of configurations:

  • Top News: A daily digest featuring stories hand-selected by Iowa Now editors
  • All News: A digest of all the stories published each day
  • News Alert: Story summaries delivered as soon as they’re published to Iowa Now, or “as it happens," based on the subscriber's preferences
  • Daily: A digest of all the stories published each day, based on the subscriber’s preferences
  • Weekly: A digest of all the stories published each week, based on the subscriber’s preferences

To set preferences, Iowa Now users must create an account on the subscription page by typing in an email address and a unique password. This should not be confused with the HawkID and password used by University of Iowa faculty, staff, and students to access things like work emails or campus self-service websites.

In addition to email, Iowa Now users can receive RSS feeds of stories.
