Top high-school musicians from throughout the Midwest and other parts of the United States are converging on the University of Iowa for the 2013 Iowa Summer Music Camps. The camps, which run June 9-28, will include nine free concerts. Story
 

Iowa Brass Quintet to perform April 16

The University of Iowa School of Music will present a free performance by the Iowa Brass Quintet, the resident faculty brass ensemble, at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 16, in Riverside Recital Hall on the UI campus. Documentary examines struggles in American health-care system

The University of Iowa hosts a free, public screening of the film "The Waiting Room," a character-driven documentary that captures the raw reality of the uninsured patients and doctors and staff at Highland Hospital, a safety-net hospital in Oakland, Ca. The event takes place at 7 p.m. in the HNI Auditorium of the Pomerantz Center and is sponsored by the UI's Public Policy Center. Story
