College of Public Health building earns LEED Platinum certification

The College of Public Health Building at the University of Iowa has earned Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Platinum certification, the highest standard for green design. It is the first academic building on campus to earn the designation. Story

UI Mock Trial earns national championship bid

The University of Iowa Mock Trial (UIMT) team sent two teams to compete in St. Louis in the American Mock Trial Association’s Opening Round Championship March 15-17. The team earned a bid to the national championship in Washington, D.C. Story

Strack receives $1.3 million grant to study neuroprotective proteins

A University of Iowa research team led by Stefan Strack, Ph.D., professor of pharmacology, will use a four-year, $1.3 million grant from the National Institutes of Health to study proteins that may help protect brain cells from stroke. Story
