The Global Precipitation Measurement mission is an international satellite project that will set a new standard for precipitation measurement from space—in Iowa first, during the UI testing phase, and later, around the world—by providing estimates of rainfall and other precipitation events every three hours. The University of Iowa School of Art and Art History will host ArtsFest from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, May 3, in the Studio Arts Building at 1375 Highway 1 West in Iowa City.
