The University of Iowa College of Public Health is pleased to announce the recipients of the college’s 2016 Outstanding Alumni Awards: Erica Spies, who earned Master of Science and doctoral degrees in community and behavioral health and now works as an Epidemic Intelligence Service Officer at the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention; and Leslie Ain McClure, who earned a Master of Science in preventive medicine and environmental health, and is now professor and chair of the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at Drexel University.

This award recognizes College of Public Health alumni who have made distinguished contributions to the field of public health and demonstrated a strong interest and commitment to the mission, vision, and values of the college. Click here to learn more about the Outstanding Alumni criteria. 

The 2016 awards will be presented at the college's graduation and honors reception on Friday, May 13.
