The University of Iowa Old Capitol Museum is welcoming Herky and his buddies for the 2013 Herky Graduation Tour.

Each year, as part of orientation, incoming first-year students sign a 5-foot-tall fiberglass Herky the Hawk, the university's mascot. The class of 2013's Herky has made his way around campus all semester and will meet up with his friends from the classes of 2014, 2015, and 2016 for a temporary exhibit at Old Capitol, this April through August.

Visitors will also get a chance to learn more about the history of Herky and see photos of the UI mascot throughout the years. The Old Capitol is also encouraging visitors to bring photos and memories of Herky for a Herky Memory Wall.

Individuals with disabilities are encouraged to attend all UI-sponsored events. If you are a person with a disability who requires a reasonable accommodation in order to participate in this program, contact the Old Capitol Museum in advance at 319-335-0548.
