Party for art at the next University of Iowa Museum of Art (UIMA) First Friday reception on Dec. 7, from 5-7 p.m. at hotelVetro. For $5, enjoy drink specials and light hors d’oeuvres from Formosa, and explore a showcase of UI student work from a variety of disciplines, along with an exclusive UIMA pop-up store. In addition, KRUI DJs Max and Kendall will spin toe-tapping tunes throughout the evening.

Four select UI student artists from the School of Art and Art History in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences will be featured: Leeyeon Yoo, Master of Fine Arts candidate in metals and jewelry arts; Jenna E. Reinhardt, senior Bachelor of Fine Arts student in photography; Rachel Singel, Master of Fine Arts candidate in printmaking; and Del Jackson, Master of Fine Arts candidate in dimensional practice. Each artist will present an intimate display, providing a great opportunity to enjoy their work and to get to know them. The presented artwork will also be available for sale by the individual artists. Grow your personal collection, or find a holiday gift while supporting young, local talent.

UIMA First Fridays provide an ideal chance to usher in your weekend and mingle with other art enthusiasts for a great cause.
