Her new book is Other Heartbreaks: Stories, in which she explores the many bonds and betrayals among women: mothers, daughters, lovers, friends.
Pulitzer Prize-winning author Robert Olen Butler, a UI alumnus, wrote, "The sweet sadness of life shimmers in these tales."
Henley, who teaches at Purdue University, is the author of two chapbooks of poetry, three short-story collections, two novels, a stage play, and numerous essays.
