UI oral and maxillofacial surgery graduate program head announced

Leaders of the Department of Hospital Dentistry at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City announced that Steve Fletcher, D.D.S., will assume the leadership of the graduate program in oral and maxillofacial surgery effective March 26.

As the graduate program director, Fletcher will oversee the training and development of 12 oral and maxillofacial residents.

Fletcher joined the UI faculty on July 1, 2011. Originally from Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada, he received a bachelor of science degree from Brigham Young University and a doctor of dental surgery degree from the UI College of Dentistry prior to his oral surgery residency.
